Here's how to thread a needle:
Prepare your materials: You'll need a <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/needle">needle</a>, the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/thread">thread</a> you want to use, and scissors to trim the thread. Good lighting is also helpful.
Cut the thread: Cut a manageable length of thread. Too long, and it will become tangled easily. Aim for around 18 inches (45 cm) to start.
Dampen the thread (optional): Lightly moistening the end of the thread can help prevent it from fraying and make it easier to pass through the eye of the needle. You can lick it gently or use a bit of water.
Locate the eye of the needle: The "eye" is the small hole at one end of the needle.
Thread the needle: Hold the eye of the needle steady with one hand. With your other hand, carefully guide the dampened end of the thread through the eye.
Pull the thread through: Once you have the thread through the eye, pull it through a few inches, leaving a "tail" of thread.
Tie a knot (optional, depending on your project): Some sewing projects require a knot at the end of the thread.
